My research focuses on the comparative physiology of vertebrates and the evolution of key innovations. Specifically, I am interested in the interaction of behavior and morphology, and the developmental pathways leading to novel functions. I use anurans as my model system, specifically comparing feeding in the highly modified pipid frogs to more generalized frogs.
