Can you believe it? Carolinabirds was created 8 years ago today -- on Friday, 13 December 1996. The initial announcement I sent out about the group is preserved in the Birdchat archives. The Research Triangle area's overrepresentation (25%) is the lowest it's ever been, down from last year's 26%.
