Favorite Holiday: Festivus.
Favorites in Santa Cruz: Asian Rose Cafe (decent and cheap vegan/vegetarian lunch on the healthy side). Saturn Cafe (vegan/vegetarian burgers and other food. Opens till late, not that healthy though. Try mini-madness for dessert). Zachary's (try mini Mike's-Mess for breakfast). Cafe Brazil (good food (no dinner), fairly priced, nice people). The Buttery Bakery (pastries and decent sandwiches, try the Grilled Chicken Sandwich) Planet Fresh (fill up cheap with burritos and tacos). Soquel Auto Repair (ask for Fardad, nice/fair guy for car repairs). Trader Joe's+ Farmers Market (Wednesday afternoons), Shopper's Corner+ New Leaf (You need to visit them all to find decent/local/organic fair priced groceries). DeCinzo Cartoons in Metro Santa Cruz.
Un-Favorites: Anything with six or eight legs unless it is made of silicon. April 15th. Mad Hatter's Café in Durham, NC (or any other café in that case) that restricts the use of laptops. The Story with Dick Gordon a shamelessly dull program for public radio (NPR). |
