Note: There is no application fee for the Duke Study in China Program.

Duke Students

Application Deadline - November 5, 2007 for the spring program
Please mail or drop your application materials off at the Duke Study in China Program Office at the Asian/Pacific Studies Institute - 323A Trent Drive Hall, Box 90411, Durham, NC 27708-0411.

Please complete the following items:

• Online Application (submit online)
• Language Instructor Recommendation Form
• Non-language Instructor Recommendation Form
• 300-500 word personal statement explaining your reasons for wanting to participate in the Duke Study in China Program
• Most Recent Complete and Official transcript(s) from all colleges or universities attended and of institution presently attending

If applying for Financial Assistance or a scholarship also complete as applicable:

• Financial Aid Form
• DSICP Scholarship Form

Once accepted

Please complete and return the following to the STUDY ABROAD OFFICE
2016 Campus Drive, Box 90057, Durham, NC 27708-0057:

• Form C (For Duke in China applicants only, Due Wednesday, November 16, 2007 for Spring 2008)
• International Student Identification Card (ISIC) Form (Due Friday, November 16, 2007 for Spring 2008)
• Spring Statement of Authorization and Consent

Please return the following to the DUKE STUDY IN CHINA PROGRAM OFFICE - 323A Trent Drive Hall, Box 90411, Durham, NC 27708-0411:

• Non-refundable $1000 Deposit made payable to Duke University Due November 9, 2007
• Language Partner Form due by November 9, 2007
• Physician's Form Due January 7, 2008
• Important Information Form Due January 7, 2008
• Host Family Option (for advanced language students)
• Host Family Questionnaire (to be filled out by participants who choose the host family option)

Non-Duke Students

Application Deadline - October 15, 2007 for the spring program
Washington University in St. Louis & Wesleyan University in CT applicants should consult their Study Abroad Offices for application instructions.
