iPods
Current Status: Instructors and students in undergraduate courses taught during Fall 07 who wish to use an iPod for undergraduate educational activities during the Summer 2007 terms can participate in our Fall 07 iPod project.
Exploratory Projects
Current Status: New this year, DDI seeks proposals that support innovation in technology to enhance and deepen the undergraduate experience and serve the instructional needs of our community. Areas of interest might include active, collaborative learning, knowledge capture and publication. We welcome proposals that work toward the University's strategic goals of technical literacy, deepening global engagement and impact, transforming the arts (and media), innovative creation, management and delivery of scholarly resources and opportunities.
Audio and Video Capture Program
Current Status: New this year, DDI is supporting audio and video recording of classroom activities, lectures or academic events.
Virtual Collaborative Worlds Exploration
Current Status: OIT is working with ISIS and the Division of Student Affairs to explore the use of Second Life in teaching and learning activities.
iTunes U @ Duke
Current Status: Duke's OIT is working to make iTunes U available to all courses in Fall '07. Instructors and students should visit
iTunes.duke.edu to login for "course materials."
Tablet PCs
Current Status: This program is no longer accepting applicants for the Fall 2007 term.
Digital Video
Current Status: Instructors and Students interested in integrating video equipment into class projects, assignments, or activities can borrow digital video equipment kits for up to two weeks for use in academic projects.
Wimba
Current Status: New this year, DDI is supporting Wimba Voice Tools in course spaces on Blackboard.
