The AEC world wide web (www) site is continually being upgraded. It now has an enhanced bulletin board which contains links to EUS e-mail news from previous months. So if you remember something that was mailed to you earlier and want the details, now you can go back and look it up.
The AEC www site is also now easier to find on the internet. Search engines (which search through directories of what's on the www) will now direct you to the AEC www site when you search with the words "endosonography" or "endoscopic ultrasound". Two commonly used search engines: Webcrawler & Lycos have listed us for over a month now. We are also listed as a link at the www sites of Emory and Columbia Presbyterian. (The web grows on.)
Maurits Wiersema will soon be distributing a newsletter with an emphasis on interventional EUS. If you're not already on the mailing list to get a copy, you can reach him @ (317) 582-7454, or by fax @(317) 875-3286 or send your address to 8424 Naab Road, Suite IL, Indianapolis, IN 46260. (He's not wired yet ...with e-mail that is.)
If you are an e-mail list subscriber and not an AEC member we can forward your name to the AEC secretary, Rob Hawes, if you wish to join the AEC. (There are no dues) You can also get AEC membership information via the AEC site on the world wide web. (URL is http://www.duke.edu/eus/).
If you know someone who wants to join the AEC e-mail list, tell them to send e-mail to majordomo@acpub.duke.edu and type "subscribe eus" only in the text of the message. (Don't use the quotes and don't use the subject line or it won't work.) More information about the AEC e-mail list is on the AEC Home Page at the address in the previous paragraph.
