The AEC world wide web (www) site is continually being upgraded. It now has an enhanced home page which has new icons and links to more information. Some of the new links include information on how to get a free copy of a slide atlas of EUS images and a reading list. (This is the atlas that was put together by Jacques Van Dam and numerous AEC members. You can get a copy by calling Glaxo at 1-800-824-2896 and asking for publication # GVL-317)
The AEC www site also now has a link to information on CPT codes for EUS. This was recently suggested by Dr. Greenwald via the E-mail system. (The URL for the AEC www site is http://www.duke.edu/eus/)
By now, everyone should have received information about the 10th International Symposium on Endoscopic Ultrasonography (10/25-10/27) I'm told that the Stouffer Renaissance Cleveland Hotel has no more rooms but the Organizing Secretariat has suggested trying the Ritz Carlton (216) 623-1300 if you still haven't made reservations. If you need more information on the meeting you can call the Organizing Secretariate at (508) 526-7521.
If you are an e-mail list subscriber and not an AEC member we can forward your name to the AEC secretary, Rob Hawes, if you wish to join the AEC. (There are no dues) You can also get AEC membership information via the AEC site on the world wide web. (URL is http://www.duke.edu/eus/).
If you know someone who wants to join the AEC e-mail list, tell them to send e-mail to majordomo@acpub.duke.edu and type "subscribe eus" only in the text of the message. (Don't use the quotes and don't use the subject line or it won't work.) More information about the AEC e-mail list is on the AEC Home Page at the address in the previous paragraph
