The AEC world wide web (www) site is continually being upgraded. It now has an enhanced home page which has new icons and links to more information. (The URL for the AEC www site is http://www.duke.edu/eus/)
Several abstracts on EUS were presented at the recent American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) meeting in New York. The Astra Merck Corporation sponsored Marathon Multimedia to put together floppy disks that contain searchable databases of abstracts from the 1995 and 1994 ACG meetings. There are also similar disks for the 1995 & 1994 Digestive Disease Week Meetings. If you would like a copy you can fax your request and address to (507)645-8105. Be sure to specify which version you need (Windows or MAC). For questions, their voice # is (507)645-2705.*This used to be free but now they cost $10-15.
If you are an e-mail list subscriber and not an AEC member we can forward your name to the AEC secretary, Rob Hawes, if you wish to join the AEC. (There are no dues at this time) You can also get AEC membership information via the AEC site on the world wide web. (URL is http://www.duke.edu/eus/).
If you know someone who wants to join the AEC e-mail list, tell them to send e-mail to majordomo@acpub.duke.edu and type "subscribe eus" only in the text of the message. (Don't use the quotes and don't use the subject line or it won't work.) More information about the AEC e-mail list is on the AEC Home Page at the address in the previous paragraph.
