RE: DUHS Staff H1N1 Vaccination Clinics on 10/28 and 10/29
DATE: 27 October 2009
______________________________________________________________________________
DUHS continues to receive ongoing limited shipments of H1N1 vaccine. We have received the injectable form suitable for any staff involved in patient care. Starting tomorrow, Wednesday Oct 28th and Thursday 29th, we will be running staff vaccination clinics at Duke Hospital, Durham Regional Hospital and Duke Raleigh Hospital. These vaccination clinics will be coordinated through Employee Occupational Health and Wellness.
At this point we would like to vaccinate staff who identify themselves as being involved in patient care. We will vaccinate employees until we run out of the current shipment. Please bring your DUHS identification badge with you to one of the following vaccination clinics:
Duke University Medical Center
Venue: Duke North, Rm 2002 lecture hall
Time: 7:30am - 4pm
Durham Regional Hospital
Venue: Employee Health
Time: 7:30 - 4pm
Duke Raleigh Hospital
Venue: Employee Health
Time: 8am - 4pm
We will continue to provide vaccine to our patients, families and staff as we receive additional shipments. DUHS continues to partner with the Durham and Wake County Health Departments to support community efforts in the distribution of vaccine. We will provide ongoing communication regarding future opportunities to receive the vaccine.
National data gathered this week continues to show this vaccine to be safe and effective. We would strongly encourage all staff to seek vaccination.
