Reports to the authorities:
This document may be of interest as much for its antiquarian value as for any intrinsic merit. It describes the international scene in computer assisted language instruction as of 1993. A great many changes were about to occur in the subsequent years, chiefly in respect to government involvement in research in computer assisted language learning. This Report contains a variety of documents, "Forecasting Educational Technologies," a "Position Paper on Artificial Neural networks," a talk on "Multi-Media Technologies and Second Language Acquisition," and a ps.-Erasmian dialogue on "Electronic Media and Educational Revolution."
