Coming this Spring... GRADLIFE FESTIVAL!!! This is the early bird-announcement of this festival comprised of two parts:
Gautham Pandiyan went to a NAGPS conference on behalf of Duke GnP students. His report is available.
New community service opportunities are available.
NAGPS is the acronym for the National Association of Graduate-Professional
Students. It is the umbrella group for over two million graduate and
professional students currently studying in the United States. NAGPS acts as
a clearinghouse for graduate and professional student organizations, serves
as an advocacy group for graduate-professional student needs and rights at
all levels, addresses a broad range of issues via national committees
(international student concerns, human diversity concerns, legislative
concerns, and employment concerns), and much more!
NAGPS 2006 Newsletter is available.
Young Trustee application and details are available.
Duke University has revised its guidelines for media access to campus. The revised guidelines can be found on Duke News' website.
The GPSC Health Insurance Committee has developed a detailed recommendation for the 2006-2007 Duke Student Health Insurance Plan. Your feedback is welcomed and encouraged via email at dukestudentinsurance@gmail.com or through the Duke Student Health Insurance Blog.
Is the class you want or need to take not offered at Duke this semester? Are you interested in taking classes outside of Duke but aren't sure you can afford it? Duke has established inter-institutional agreements with the following area universities: UNC Charlotte, UNC Chapel Hill, UNC Greensboro, NC State, and NC Central. These agreements outline the procedure for tuition billing and grade transfer between Duke and the visited school, and cover graduate and professional schools. View the document below for more details.
The GPSC General Assembly is composed of representatives from every department and school. This group meets twice a month to discuss issues of importance to graduate and professional students and to hear from campus administrators. To learn who is voting on your behalf, visit the representatives page.
Would you like to learn more about how Duke works, be involved in important University decisions, and have an opportunity to interact with faculty, staff, administrators, and students throughout the university? Then you should apply to serve on a University Committee! All graduate and professional students are eligible to apply; you do NOT need to be a GPSC Representative!
