Mrs. Ann Douglas Cornell

Mrs. Cornell is a 1975 graduate of Duke's Trinity College and vice president of the Wallace Genetic Foundation in Washington, D.C. She has a special interest in pesticides and children's environmental health issues and has been instrumental in assisting the Nicholas School's Children's Environmental Health Initiative.

 

Mr. Kenneth W. Hubbard

Mr. Hubbard graduated from Duke in 1965 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He has been a member of the Hines Corporation's Executive Committee since its formation in 1985. As the Executive Vice President of the Hines East Region, he is responsible for the acquisition, development or management of more than 22 million square-feet of commercial real estate, including properties in: Massachusetts; Connecticut; New York; New Jersey; Washington, DC; Virginia; Maryland, and Ohio.

Dr. Norman Christensen

Mr. Simon Rich

Mr. Rich currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Visitors of The Nicholas School of the Environment and Earth Sciences at Duke University and as an Adjunct Professor at the school. He was formerly CEO of Louis Dreyfus Holding Co and Chairman and CEO of Louis Dreyfus Natural Gas. He now serves as Chairman of Carolina Green Energy, a company designed to bring renewable power alternatives to North Carolina consumers. Mr. Rich is a 1967 graduate of Duke University.

 

Tony Brown

Mr. Brown is a faculty member of the Hart Leadership Program in the Public Policy Institute, where he has created four courses, all of which pertain to issues of public policy, leadership, business, and community development. All of his classes require some form of community leadership project. Before teaching, he had a long career in the insurance industry, serving as the Chairman and CEO of the Covenant Insurance Company for almost ten years.

 

Mr. Truman T. Semans Jr.

Truman Semans is an economist and management consultant with expertise in corporate strategy and planning, new venture investment and development, market analysis, project management, finance, energy policy, and negotiation. Mr. Semans recently left McKinsey and Company, where his clients spanned high tech, telecoms, transportation, and chemicals on engagements including successful spin-out of a $45 million MEMs/photonics company. He now holds a Senior Fellowship with Global Legislators for a Balanced Environment (GLOBE-USA), the association of members of Congress active on international energy and environmental issues, core of a network of more than 1,200 legislators in over 100 countries.
