Duke University Graduate School Enrolls Students Affected by Hurricane Katrina

The Graduate School at Duke has enrolled four Tulane graduate students and two University of New Orleans graduate students. Enrollment of additional graduate students displaced by Hurricane Katrina is anticipated, according to Graduate School officials.

Additional Counseling at CAPS

Counseling and Psychological Support Services is available to meet with students affected by Hurricane Katrina. In response to this need, CAPS has added additional counseling appointments. CAPS may be reached by contacting 660-1000. When calling for an appointment please let the receptionist know you are calling in response to Hurricane Katrina. CAPS will be offering a group session for students affected by Hurricane Katrina on Thursday, Sept. 8, from 7-8:30 pm in 201 Flowers Building.

Sanford Offers Enrollment to Public Policy Grad Students Affected by Katrina

The Sanford Institute for Public Policy has issued a new graduate student admittance policy for Gulf Coast students displaced by Hurricane Katrina.

Fuqua School of Business to Enroll Tulane Students

The Fuqua School has reached an agreement with the business school at Tulane University to take up to 10 students. Details, such as when the students would arrive, are being finalized.

Law School to Accept Visiting Students

The Law School will be accepting approximately 8 visiting students for the semester in coordination with UNC to maximize student placement within the state. Duke students have volunteered to provide these visiting students with temporary housing. A plan is underway to host a "toiletries drive" for the students upon their arrival.
