  Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts

Proceeds from International FoodFest to Benefit Hurricane Victims

posted Tuesday, October 11, 2005

International FoodFest 2005 will be held Friday, Oct. 28 from 4-7 pm. All proceeds will go to NGOs working to assist Hurricane Katrina Relief.

The 2005 International FoodFest will allow students and members of the Duke community to show off their culinary skills while celebrating the diversity of cultures at Duke. The International Association is currently recruiting student groups and individuals to participate as cooks in the event. Those attending will have the opportunity to eat food specially prepared by participating groups and individuals on campus. It will be on Food Points, Flex and cash with all proceeds directed to Katrina relief. Guests will also be able to participate in the festivities on that day including T-shirt printing, games, tarot card reading, and henna painting.

For more information, please contact Sabrina Chen at xiaodan.chen@duke.edu or Zaid al-Husseini at zna@duke.edu.
