Elizabeth Floyd Linguistics, Literature 2007 (email)
| Elizabeth Floyd hails from Houston, Texas (which she sometimes finds rather unfortunate). Her experience in photography lies mainly traditional in black-and-white, though she is also fond of mixing media with reckless abandon. Life beyond photography occurs in shades of Russian and Spanish literature, classical guitar, capoeira, and Eruditio, Duke's way-cool humanities 'zine. Elizabeth is a senior. This is her fourth year on the Latent Image staff.

Michelle Lotker Biology 2008 (email) | This is Michelle's second year with Latent Image. She's from Miami , FL and has been taking pictures with what was formerly her dad's 30 year old Asahi Pentax for around 8 years. This caused her to win a photo contest grand prize of a Canon Powershot G2 (which at the time was just being released to the public). Basically, she's never bought a camera in her life (except the disposable kind) and that seems to be working out just fine. :) She's currently Editor-in-Chief of the Duke University Chanticleer yearbook after being Photo Editor last year and being Photo Editor of her high school newspaper. Her high school was a math and science magnet, and thus sadly had no arts program, so until this semester Michelle has never taken a photography class. She's taking two Documentary Studies classes right now and LOVES IT!!! This is getting entirely too long, so she's going to cut herself off now. Bye bye.

At Duke she has taken classes at the Center for Documentary Studies. She continues to pursue her passion for photography on her own and through involvement in Latent Image.

Here at Duke, Dana has taken several courses at CDS including Documentary Photography of Southern Culture and Large Format Photography.
