Will Steger, who was the National Geographic Society's first Explorer-in-Residence, is best known for traveling thousands of miles by kayak and dog-sled as he explores the Earth’s polar regions. At this lecture, he’ll share his stunning photographs and data documenting deterioration of the polar ice caps due to global warming pollutants—changes he’s seen firsthand during his more than three decades of polar exploration. While the issue is critical, and the presentation is dramatic, Steger’s message is one of hope and empowerment.
