This year's Smart Commute Challenge includes a “Team Challenge,” perfect for smart commuters at Duke. If you already ride the bus, carpool, walk or telecommute you can invite your drive-a-loner friends to take the Challenge to try a greener commute. Encourage at least five (5) of your friends to take the Challenge to try a smarter, greener commute to work – bus, carpool, vanpool, bike, walk, or telework, and you'll be entered to win a $50 Visa gift card, a signed Hurricanes jersey or season tickets to the RailHawks.What’s our goal?:
Together, Duke will help the Triangle Transit Authority to sign up 12,000 Triangle commuters and students, and remove more than 2.2 million pounds of carbon emissions from the triangle's air and environment. Together, we can make a difference!

The Prizes?:
TTA will award prizes to the largest team and the team that reduces the most CO2. As the SustainableDuke team captain, Ryan Pfirrmann-Powell will raffle any prizes from the Team Challenge off to randomly selected team members. Joining the SustainableDuke team, and recruiting your friends and co-workers improves your odds of winning the prizes.
