Duke students browse, select, and register for classes via ACES-Web, the University's automated course enrollment system. Information about ACES-Web is available on the University Registrar Web site. Faculty members should consult their individual Bulletin or Web site for school-specific registration information. Drop/Add is the period during which students may
adjust their schedule by adding and dropping courses. Drop/Add dates
are listed in the Academic
Calendar. Information on the process by which students can withdraw from a course after the Drop/Add deadline is provided in the appropriate School Bulletin. Waiting List and Permission Numbers Students are able to place themselves on a waiting list via ACES-Web if a course has reached maximum enrollment. After the first week of classes in the fall and spring semesters all waiting lists are erased. In order to register for a course after the first week of class, students must first obtain a permission number from the course instructor. Permission numbers are automatically generated for each course and are available to the instructor for distribution to students via STORM. |
