Choosing Graduate School in Computer
Science
Over the last year I've been through the
process of deciding to go to graduate school in
computer science, and I found what I believe to
be a profound lack of information easily
available on the web, thus I decided to do my
best to introduce both my own thoughts on the
matter and list other resources. Please note that
this reference is primarily for people interested
in PhD programs; I don't have much knowledge
about masters programs.
The most useful and comprehensive list of
advice for people considering grad school is Advice for undergraduates
considering graduate school by Phil Agre This is a local copy
in order to make sure that the document doesn't
move. It is aimed at the general public that's
looking for graduate school, so don't expect it
to be tailored towards computer science. It can,
however, give you better advice about deciding to
go to graduate school than I can. I can give you
