Activities to advance CITIE goals

What are some specific activities that would help accomplish the broad CITIE goal of enhancing teaching and learning through appropriate uses of technology? What could we measure in two years to see if CITIE programs are having an impact? Some possible activities are listed below. Are these the right kinds of activities? What other activities should be added to the list?

  • Increase number of course websites.
  • Increase number of curricular-focused technology projects. These projects might range from modest adaptation of technology within a particular course to large-scale transformation of teaching within a discipline based on new curricular goals
  • Increase use of technology in the classroom.
  • Increase use of technology in student learning activities
  • Increase faculty skill and comfort level with technology.
  • Suggestions for other activities?
