Location The Duke University String School is located in the Mary Duke Biddle Music Building on the East Campus of Duke University. All concerts are held in Baldwin Auditorium, also on the Duke East Campus. Rehearsal Schedule All DUSS classes meet on Saturdays in the Biddle

Theory I Theory II Master Classes Master Classes are given at the Duke String School by the Ciompi Quartet under a grant from Julia Lewis. Guest Master Classes are also given by the Borromeo Quartet and the Kitchen-Kim-Hodgkinson Trio, also under a grant from Julia Lewis. Scholarship Assistance We have scholarship assistance from the A.J. Fletcher Foundation, Thomas S. Kenan III and from the Robert B. Fearing Endowment for Chamber Music which has been establish for the Duke String School by the Fearing Family through Duke University. Severe Weather In the event of a severe snow or ice storm or other dangerous weather, the canceling of Saturday classes or concerts will be announced on this website. You may also check the DUSS answering machine for a recorded message (660-3313). Your teacher will call you on other days of the week for weather cancellations. Newsletter The DUSS newsletter appears at our four concerts. Please give your news to DUSSnews@hotmail.com in advance of the concerts.
