Olga Talanova, a native of Moscow, graduated from the Moscow Music Institute where she completed course work in Orchestral Studies and Violin Teaching. Before immigrating to the United States in 1989, she worked as a professional chamber music performer and music teacher specializing in the teaching of children. She also plays and teaches piano.
