Academics

Issues of environmental sustainability generally have a complexity that requires cross discipline collaboration.  It should be no surprise then, that sustainability is increasingly becoming a focus of academic inquiry at Duke, where 28% of the faculty have appointments in more than one department.  Interdisciplinary courses engage students while professors and researchers from a broad array of disciplines are combining their efforts to further explore our environment.
