  • Each course will have its own syllabus
  • The three instructors will be creating a set of common documents (course website, discussion guidelines, etc)
  • IT support and a common website will be provided by the Duke Center for Instructional Technology
  • Common Readings will be posted on the Duke-operated website
  • Students and instructors from all locales will have access to the website
  • Three parallel meetings in which the students in all three locations have the same reading assignments
  • Each entangled meeting will have a different set of task assignments encouraging students from the three locations to interact with each other.  The tasks assignments will make students familiar with differences between academic cultures/instructional styles at Duke, Fudan and Leipzig.
  • At least one meeting at each location will be videotaped and put on our common course website
