- Each course will have its own syllabus
- The three instructors will be creating a set of common documents (course website, discussion guidelines, etc)
- IT support and a common website will be provided by the Duke Center for Instructional Technology
- Common Readings will be posted on the Duke-operated website
- Students and instructors from all locales will have access to the website
- Three parallel meetings in which the students in all three locations have the same reading assignments
- Each entangled meeting will have a different set of task assignments encouraging students from the three locations to interact with each other. The tasks assignments will make students familiar with differences between academic cultures/instructional styles at Duke, Fudan and Leipzig.
- At least one meeting at each location will be videotaped and put on our common course website
