Week of November 12 : Globalization and Regionalization
Ways of Conceptualizing Global and Trans-cultural History.
- The groups will remain the same but, just as last time, a new round of students from Leipzig will join the discussions. One member of each group (who has been already contacted by the instructors) will make an initial statement about the readings and the general topic "Ways of Conceptualizing Global and Trans-cultural History." This time the initial statement will be much shorter, about 200 words in length. This time the student having initiated the discussion will be participating in the debate.
- Between Monday, November 12th and Thursday, November 15th all six members of the group will start engaging in an open discussion. This discussion should initially refer to the opening statement but then can also evolve into other directions. You are encouraged to also draw onto topics that have remained open during the last round.
- Within these four days (Monday - Thursday) each student should post at least three (but potentially also more) responses and/or comments. Responses should be rather short and not more than 200 words in length. - This means that you should log into your chat room on a daily basis during these four days.
- Of course you can always continue the discussion later on.
