Upcoming Events
ROCKBRIDGE
May 6-11, 2008
Each year, hundreds of InterVarsity students from our region attend
Rockbridge for a week of worship, spiritual growth, and
recreational/fellowship. Next year's Small
Group Leaders are required to attend, since there is a track designed to
train you for Small Group Leading. There are six other tracks, including
Following Jesus, People of the Word, Kingdom Living, Life after College,
Good News, etc.
To attend a week of fun, it will cost $285. BUT if you send in your
registration form and money by April 11, you will get a $30 discount! AND if
you are having trouble paying for Rockbridge, feel free to talk to a
C-Team
member about scholarship money, because we have a lot of Rockbridge
scholarship money this year. Registration forms will be available.
IV in Summer 2008
Time and locale TBA
If you're going to be in the Durham area this summer, this is a great way to get plugged in. Last year, we went through Ephesians. This year? You'll have to wait and see!
E-mail Connie Chu to get current updates.
Also, check out our Facebook group.
YouTube
A showcase of Team Fun, Natalie and Peter, and other IV videos.
Weekly Events
Large Group
Check out our weekly gathering called Large Group.
Freshmen and Upperclassmen Small Groups
Freshmen and Upperclassmen Small Groups meet weekly to hang out and discuss a Bible passage or a book.
Chapter Prayer
Thursdays @ 5 PM: We meet in Few FF 108, which is the first floor common room. Few FF is the first building on your left as you come from the bus stop. We'll worship for a little bit and spend the rest of the time praying together as a chapter for each other, our campus, and our world. Contact Jeff Dahlberg for more info.
God Time
Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 1:30 PM: At the couches by the e-print station in the BC, we'll be having some God time from 1:30 until about 2 PM. This will just be an opportunity for people to gather together, take a breath and refocus during the day. You can read your Bible, do a devotional, write in your journal, pray, or be with God in any other (quiet) way you can.
IV Ultimate Frisbee
Thursdays @ 10 PM: IV frisbee is a great way to have fun through a sport and interact with people. All skill levels are welcome as we keep an encouraging and fun attitude on the field (West grass fields - behind Cameron, past the soccer stadium). Pick-ups are at the East bus circle @ 9:50pm.
IV "Family" Dinner
Fridays @ 6 PM: Have dinner and hang out with some IVers in the Bryan Center near the McDonald's and the Dillo area.
Saturday Morning Basketball
E-mail Michael Chen (mc107) if you are interested in playing basketball on Saturday mornings with other IVers.
