To the Duke InterVarsity website. We hope that by visiting you can learn more about who we are, what we believe, and how you can be involved. You are invited to attend any of our Small Groups that meet throughout campus and to attend our Large Group meetings on Fridays at 7:00pm in Soc. Sci. 139.

Urbana '09!
Urbana is InterVarsity's national conference that is held every three years. 2009 is one of those years! It will be December 27-31 in St. Louis, MO. Urbana is a place to "see, hear, and respond to God's global mission" alongside thousands of other college students. The registration fee is $395 until October 17 when it will go up to $475, so register soon! Check out our Urbana page for pretty much all you need to know!

Family Dinner
Fri., Nov. 6 at 5:45pm in the Marketplace
Family Dinner is a time when IV eats dinner together before Large Group every Friday evening. Meet in the lobby at 5:45pm so we can go in together. If you come a little later, we will be eating in the left wing (smaller room) in the little back room immediately to your right when you enter.
Large Group
Fri., Nov. 6 at 7:00pm in White Lecture Hall 107 (East Campus)
This week's Large Group is Invitation Large Group, a unique Large Group that is welcoming and inviting, where you can invite your friends, especially those who are unsure about their faith and what Christianity means to them. Derek Mondeau, the InterVarsity staffworker from UVA, will be speaking about different aspects of Jesus, who He is, and why people were and are drawn to Him. Start thinking about who you want to invite because this is only happening once this semester! There will also be two follow-up one-time Groups investigating God the week after Invitation Large Group.
AfterHours
Fri., Nov. 6 at approx. 8:30pm near White Lecture Hall
After Invitational Large Group, we'll be roasting marshmallows and making s'mores over a wide open ... grill! If any of you have hot water boilers, PLEASE BRING THEM so we can brew some delicious apple cider. Come out to eat, chill, and chat about Derek's talk =]

Freshmen and Upperclassmen Small Groups
Freshmen and Upperclassmen Small Groups meet weekly to hang out and discuss a Bible passage or a book.
Chapter Prayer
Wednesdays @ 6:30 pm in the Randolph "piano-side" commons. Contact Erica Mail for more info.
IV Ultimate Frisbee
Thursdays @ 10 PM: IV frisbee is a great way to have fun through a sport and interact with people. All skill levels are welcome as we keep anencouraging and fun attitude on the field (field TBA).
IV Family Dinner
Fridays @ 6 PM: Have dinner and hang out with some IVers in the Marketplace.
Saturday Morning Basketball
Saturdays at 10 AM in Brodie Gym: E-mail Jason Wang or David Wang if you are interested in playing basketball with other IVers.
