MAT offers programs leading to secondary certification in the following areas

* Biology (including Biological
Anthropology and Anatomy and Biology)
* General
Science (including Biological Anthropology
and Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry,
the Nicholas School of the Environment,
and Physics)
* Mathematics
* Mathematics/Physics
* Social
Studies (including History, Political
Science, and Cultural
Anthropology)
Successful applicants in each of these fields will have an undergraduate major in the teaching field or in a closely related field in addition to a well-rounded liberal education.
