Major in Arabic

A major in Asian and African Languages and Literature with a concentration in Arabic requires a minimum of ten courses. Potential majors should consult with Professor miriam cooke (mcw@duke.edu).

A minor in AALL with concentration in Arabic requires five courses:

ARABIC 125 Advanced Arabic
ARABIC 126 Advanced Arabic
AALL 178 Local Islam, AALL 165 Arab Culture and 9/11, 173S Women in Arab Literature or any culture class on the Arab world
