Our Philosophy
Compassion wherever there is suffering,
Conviction that the compassion is strong to eliminate suffering,
Courage to make this conviction a reality.
Our History
Association for India's Development (AID) is a volunteer movement committed to promoting sustainable, equitable and just development.
In solidarity with non-violent people's struggles, AID supports grassroots organizations in India and initiates efforts in various
interconnected spheres such as agriculture, awareness, education, energy, health care, livelihoods, natural resources, women's empowerment and social justice.
The Duke chapter of AID was founded in 1997. Duke University is located in Durham, North Carolina and is home to the Blue Devils,
the nation's premier college basketball team.
