Job: Research assistant in a biology lab (Lab of Dr. Bejsovec, studying signal transduction in fruit flies)

Interests: Traveling. Seeing new places. Hiking, camping, backpacking, canoeing, kayaking, mountains, the ocean. Frolicking in the woods and splashing in mountain streams.

Sports: Raquetball. Running. Yoga. Gym.

Interesting Facts: I LOVE MANGOS! And apples, pineapple, peaches, watermelon, grapes, carrots, pears, cherries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, kiwi fruit, papaya... basically any fruit possible. But I do like chocolate and ice-cream too.

Favorite Quote: An apple a day keeps the doctor away (yes, I eat at least one apple a day)

Favorite Book: The Power of One (if you want to know anything about South Africa, you should definitely read this book)

Languages: Afrikaans, German (Duke in Berlin program Fall 2006!)
