The Immortal Feats of Cory

O Muses, guide me as I tell a tale
Of rescue bold and feats of greatest glory
Performed by one whose courage did not fail
In time of trial; noble, valiant Cory!

He came to us when our distress was great.
A fearsome bug within our shower loomed
We gazed upon it as it lay in wait,
And in our hearts we feared that we were doomed.

But lo! Whose voice comes ringing down the hallway?
Whose tread is that approaching, strong and true?
Our Champion, learning of our dismay,
Offered his aid; our hope returned anew.

Swiftly approach'ed he the loathsome creature,
Studied a moment, then with mighty stroke
Although armed only with a humble sneaker
Against the wall the heinous beast he broke.

Remember, then, the deeds of brave Massaro,
Who freed our shower of that beast that day,
We shall remember well beyond tomorrow
The hero whose might kept evil at bay!
