FROM THE DESK OF THE CHAPLAIN:

On Sundays, I would love for you to join me and others at Union Baptist Church, 904 North Roxboro Street in downtown Durham, for Sunday school for young adults and professionals (9:30 am), worship service (11:15 am), and post-service food & fellowship. We have a rapidly-expanding group of Duke and UNC black grad students who attend and we would love to have more BGPSA people join our circle!

E-mail me at pea4@duke.edu if you're interested in attending Union Baptist. I am happy to give you a ride or directions, or -- if you would like to attend another Durham church -- I am happy to direct you to a BGPSA affiliate there.

Lastly, please e-mail me (pea4@duke.edu) if you are interested in joining me on Tuesday evenings from 7:30-8:30 pm for prison ministry at Orange Correctional Center in Hillsborough. Giving an hour of time in conversation with these men will not only encourage them, but it will also bless you in ways you could never imagine.

Patrick Alexander
Chaplain, BGPSA 2007-08.
