DUKE BIKES
A new program! Visit the Duke Bikes website for information.A pilot bike-loan program, Duke Bikes is a partnership between Duke students and university departments to provide undergraduate, graduate and professional students with no-cost options for exercise, adventure and campus commuting. This collaborative effort also provides a tangible example of several of Duke's efforts to promote sustainability, alternative transportation and health.
Duke Bikes works much like checking out a library book. All you need is your DukeCard and pedal power. The fleet includes 1-speed and 3-speed Trek Cruisers, equipped with adjustable seats, lights and flashers.
Borrow your bike today at the new Outpost adventure gear station under the Bryan Center Plaza on West Campus. Get to the Outpost by descending the stairs near Pauly Dogs hot dog stand on the Bryan Center Plaza.
DUKE BIKE STATION
The DUKE BIKE STATION is opening again for 2007-2008
Stay tuned for an announcement of the schedule and location of the Bike Station. What is it? Bikes are good. We want more people to ride bikes to and on campus. The number one reason people tell us they don't ride is "I have a flat tire." So we want to fix your flats, dial in your brakes and shifters, lube your chain, and do other minor repairs on your bike FOR FREE, to get you back on the road and riding in style! We'll also have information about bike registration, car parking passes for cyclists, correct bike locking techniques, and perhaps even some more goodies to give away...
FORMS POSTED
We have posted two forms here. Use these forms to register bicycles with Parking and Transportation Services for identification in the event of theft, and to apply for rainy day automobile parking passes if you are a cyclist commuter.
