VISION


We're a Christian co-ed a cappella group, all from different fellowships, guys and girls who love God and love to sing. Borrowed and Blue exists to glorify God. we try to share the love of God and give testimony of what he's done in our lives through a cappella music, ranging from old school to new school, from contemporary Christian music to popular music to original arrangements--but basically music with a message of sorts, since we consider ourselves an a cappella ministry.

HISTORY


Something Borrowed, Something Blue was originally a Christian folk band started in 1969 as Jesus Christ Power & Light Co. In 1993 it became Duke's sixth a cappella group, and is now in its twelfth year. In continually responding to the vision God has called us to fulfill, we changed our name in 1998 to "Something Borrowed, Something Blue" to reflect the changes we experienced as a group and and renewed calling we received.
