The Changing Face of Mexico. A Multimedia Resource Packet for North Carolina Educators. This resource packet is designed so that educators seeking to make use of the material need not be experts on Mexico. It provides learners in North Carolina with a broader understanding of Mexican realities, culture, history, and an appreciation of the rich diversity and heritage of people of Mexican descent. Teachers can use the entire packet or one unit of study. It contains: 20 images on the land, people, city life and general culture of Mexico. Slide presentation Mexico: from Techochtitlan to Taco Bell with accompanying lecture and class exercises; 4 units on Mexican cultural celebrations each containing an article on the history and significance of the celebration, classroom activities, a traditional recipe, a short video selection; and a 30 minutes original video with four local Latin American students in North Carolina. $50.00
