With the support of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Consortium in Latin American and Caribbean Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University sponsors six research and training working groups, designed to combine an innovative form of interdisciplinary inquiry with apprenticeship-style opportunities for graduate students while encouraging collaboration among Latin Americanist faculty and graduate students across disciplines and between campuses. A brief description of each of the groups follows. If you have any questions, ideas, or suggestions for future activities, you are invited to contact the working group facilitators. All of the activities sponsored by the working groups are open to Duke University and UNC-CH faculty and graduate students from all disciplines. Interested individuals are invited to join in at any time.
