Mentorship

Since playgroups are generally geared more towards the younger children, the Mentorship Program is more for the children nine and above in age. This is a great chance for the older children and teens to be paired up with Duke students to interact and learn from each other while having lots of fun! There will be group mentorship events, but more importantly the child-student pair will plan their own activities based on their shared interests.

Our first trip to Ben & Jerry's on Ninth Street was a fun success (here are some pictures as proof), and soon we will be scheduling more activities and assigning one mentor to each child.

Year end picnic for a fun-filled potluck and celebration! Parents are encouraged to sign up to bring food. Bring your own blanket and outdoor games (kites, balls, jumpropes, outdoor activities). Duke China Care will provide light snacks and drinks.
