The Playgroups Program supports adopted Chinese children in the Triangle area and their families. By introducing different aspects of traditional Chinese culture to them, we aim to help the children maintain ties to their native homeland and culture.
If you are a parent of adopted Chinese children, you are welcome to bring your child to any of our playgroups. Their non-Chinese siblings are also welcome. To help us prepare better, please RSVP to Jane (zhen.zhao@duke.edu) by the Wednesday before the Playgroup.

This semester we have started a new group mentoring program for those children 9 years and older, since our playgroups are generally geared more towards the younger children. This way, the older teens will have a chance to interact and learn from Duke students as well.
Our first trip to Ben & Jerry's on Ninth Street was a fun success (here are some pictures as proof), and soon we will be scheduling more activities and assigning one mentor to each child.
If you are a parent and are interested in signing your child up for this program, please contact Jane (zhen.zhao@duke.edu).
