The Duke Consortium for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (CoSTL) consists of professors, staff, and graduate students at Duke who share an interest in several key areas of education:
1. Improving
their own understanding and practice of teaching.
2. Sharing ideas about student learning and teaching practices among peers both
within and between disciplines.
3. Learning more about the scholarship of teaching and learning, including best
practices, professional development, and training opportunities.
4. Collaborating on research efforts in education and curriculum development
at Duke and elsewhere.
5. Providing a "home," networking opportunities, and support for anyone
who is interested in teaching, learning, pedagogy, and other educational practices
in higher education.
