follow up on the Janpanese propoganda exhibition in Perkins
Hello Community member, Yesterday, Zhao Wei, Luo Jun and I went to the library to represent the deep concerns on the Japanese propoganda piece in the perkin's hallway exhibition. The librians explained their purpose and allowed to change the description a little bit. While we wholeheartedly agree with the value of library archives, we are still deeply concerned that lack of accompanying historical information with this part of the exhibit will in fact mislead the viewer and thereby compromise its original educational purpose.
As the elected president of DCSSA, I submitted a letter to Chronicle to express our concerns and also to provide the neccessary historical background of the exhibition for further education purpose. Besides, we also request Chronicle to report the issue as news to draw more attention.
I also want to urge your support on the activities either by dropping your opinions online or leaving comments on Perkin's comments book. If you have further suggestions, pls feel free to let me know.
Finally, I want to thank Zhao Wei and Luo Jun for their contribution.
