Come and join us in the seminar brought by Frank(Feng) Liu who will talk about his career path and life in the US as a Chinese-American, as well as his knowledge and expertise in life insurance.
WHAT: Seminar on life insurance by Frank Liu(Free discussion and casual talk with a Duke Chinese alumnus about some basics of life insurance concept and generally career path as a Chinese student)
WHEN: 5:30pm-8:00pm, Sep 17th, Friday, FREE YUMMY CHINESE FOOD PROVIDED!
WHERE: Seminar RM 203, Teer Engineering Building (Teer Engineering is at the end of science drive, opposite to the new CIEMA building, Seminar RM 2003 is the one on your right when you enter the building.)
WHO: All Chinese speaking students, scholars and faculties at Duke are welcome (We especially encourage first year students and Chinese students/scholars with their family here to come and learn more about the insurance.)
Biography of Dr.Frank Liu:
Frank Feng Liu came from China in 1990 as a PhD candidate at Duke English Department and the Graduate School. He graduated from Duke in 1997. His past experience includes Research Associate at Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, China, Lecturer at Bates College, Technical Writer at IBM Corp., and Financial Analyst at Duke Health Systems PRMO. Currently he works as an Executive Council Member agent for New York Life Insurance Company, Raleigh General Office (New York Life has 160 yeas of history and ranks # 70 of Fortune 100 companies).
