ParksWatch: ParksWatch was formed to be a watchdog group for tropical biodiversity and especially for paper parks. Their focus is on protecting areas already officially set aside as areas with no resource extraction, and no activities besides tourism. Parkswatch works on a country-by-country basis, in partnership with local citizens in conservation NGOs. Like other watchdog organizations, they monitor, report, and try to leverage action locally, nationally, and internationally. The Wildlands Project: The Wildlands Project is a nonprofit organization based in Tucson, Arizona. It is a group of conservation biologists and citizen conservationists from across the continent devoted to developing a North American wilderness recovery strategy. TWP works in cooperation with independent grassroots organizations throughout the continent to develop proposals for each bioregion. Cocha
