Wimba
Current Status: New this year, DDI is supporting Wimba Voice Tools in course spaces on Blackboard.
In the 2007-2008 academic year, the Duke Digital Initiative will be sponsoring a pilot of the Wimba Voice Tools product integrated with the Blackboard course management system.
Wimba Voice Tools allow instructors to integrate live audio recording and playback functionality into almost all areas of their Blackboard course, including announcements, quizzes or surveys, and content items. Available Voice Tools include a small recording/playback toolbar, a voice discussion board, live voice chat, and voice e-mail.
Information about options for Spring 2008 courses will be available in early January 2008.
