Drama from Russia Comes to Duke
Durham, N.C. - The Duke Department of Theater Studies will present Child of Hungry Times , drama based on the works of Russian writer Luydmila Petrushevskaya, March 24-26 . Bridget Bailey (T'06) will star in the play.
Bailey's one-woman show of excerpts of the contemporary Russian writer's work exposes some of the fine writing that never received much attention during the Soviet and post-Soviet era. Jay O'Berski of the Duke Theater Studies faculty will direct the show.
Child of Hungry Times will play in 209 East Duke on Duke's East Campus March 24-25 at 8 pm and March 26 at 2 pm.
