More Notable Actors Join Cast of Theater Previews at Duke's World Premiere of Gore Vidal's On the March to the Sea
Durham, N.C.–Harris Yulin, Isabel Keating, David Turner, Corey Brill and John Feltch have recently signed on to appear in the premiere of On the March to the Sea by Gore Vidal, according to Theater Previews at Duke. The play will run Feb. 22 – March 6, 2005 at Reynolds Theater on the Duke campus in Durham, N.C.
Harris Yulin starred opposite Kate Burton in Hedda Gabler and Natalie Portman in The Diary of Anne Frank on Broadway and has appeared in such classics as Watch on the Rhine by Lillian Hellman, A Lesson from Aloes by Athol Fugard and The Price by Arthur Miller. Yulin recently appeared in the world premiere of Miller’s Finishing the Picture at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago. He is also known for his roles in movies such as The Emperor’s Club, Training Day and Clear and Present Danger and has had a distinguished television career on such shows as the hit series 24, in which he played the character Roger Stanton.
Isabel Keating received a Tony Award nomination, Theatre World Award and Drama Desk Award for her role in The Boy from Oz in which she portrayed Judy Garland and co-starred opposite Hugh Jackman. She recently appeared in Enchanted April on Broadway as well.
David Turner starred in cult favorite TheComplete Works ofShakespeare (Abridged) and is also a composer-lyricist (winner of the BMI Prize, the Jerry Harrington Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement last year). Corey Brill has appeared in such classics as Cabaret (National Tour) and The Glass Menagerie (Kennedy Center). John Feltch has appeared in regional theaters all over the country in works by playwrights ranging from Shakespeare to Kushner.
These five actors will be co-starring with Charles Durning, Richard Easton, Michael Learned and Chris Noth.

On the March to the Sea will be directed by Warner Shook and produced as a staged theatrical concert reading.

Gore Vidal, known as a “literary lion” of our times, is an outspoken and prolific American novelist, playwright, screenwriter, historian and essayist, one of the great stylists of contemporary American prose. He has written 22 novels, short stories, political and literary essays, reviews and a volume of memoirs. Vidal remains active in several other arenas, including politics, television and publishing. In 1993, a collection of his criticism, United States: Essays 1952-1992, won the National Book Award.
Durning won a 1990 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor for his role in Tennessee Williams’s Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. He received two Academy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actor in To Be or Not to Be (1983) and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982). He is well known for his roles in other movies such as The Sting, Dog Day Afternoon and Tootsie. He has appeared in over 150 film and television roles.Richard Easton won a 2001 Tony Award for Best Actor for his role in Tom Stoppard’s The Invention of Love. He recently appeared on Broadway in The Rivals by Richard Sheridan and Noises Off by Michael Frayn.
Michael Learned, perhaps best known for her Emmy-winning portrayal of Olivia Walton in The Waltons, has had an extensive film and stage career. Recent productions include Edward Albee’s All Over with costar Rosemary Harris, and Gore Vidal’sThe Best Man on Broadway, in which she costarred with Chris Noth, who will again appear alongside her in the production at Duke. Noth may be best known for his roles as Mr. Big in HBO’s Sex and the City, in which he appeared as Sarah Jessica Parker’s love interest, and as Detective Mike Logan in the TV series Law and Order.
