The Shape of Things

The Duke Players will present The Shape of Things by Neil LaBute. Danya Taymor (T’10) will direct the play, which is Duke Players’ Fall Laboratory production.

The Shape of Things will play in Brody Theater on Duke’s East Campus Nov. 1-3 at 8 pm and Nov. 4 at 2 pm. Admission is free.

The Shape of Things premiered in London in 2001 and peels back the skin of two modern-day relationships. The Shape of Things explores the nature of art, psychopathy, intimacy and love and people's willingness to do things for love. It is set in a small university town in the American Midwest and centers on the lives of four young students who become emotionally and romantically involved with each other.

Duke Players is the student organization in the Duke Department of Theater Studies. Duke Players produces one lab production each semester.
