Meet the Leaders Use the links below to find out who the students both in front and behind the scenes of Duke CRU are! Duke CRU is God-centered, student-led, and staff-directed. That means that according to God's word and where we see Him working on campus and in the world, students are the ones making the decisions, leading the events, and driving the ministry. But we students are still just that- students, who are growing in our walk with the Lord. The full-time staff have the role of being mentors and helpers as we strive together to learn more about Jesus and further God's kingdom here at Duke University. These staff are extremely important in allowing us to complete God's work. Get to know them better in this page! SMALL GROUP LEADERS: [Senior, Junior, Sophomore Groups] [Freshmen Groups] These individuals are the core of Duke CRU's ministry... One-on-one interaction is key to discipleship, outreach, and personal growth (among other things!). If you have any questions, email Cole McLaughlin. Servant teams are responsible for several different areas of CRU. The Socials/Community team plans various social events. The Conferences team plans retreats and conferences throughout the year for CRU. (Look for more information on our upcoming Fall Retreat soon!) The Prayer team helps out with planning our weekly prayer meeting (Priority One) and an informal prayer time before weekly CRU meetings. The Greek Servant team works to reach out to Duke's large fraternity and sorority communities. The Communications and Publicity team is in charge of advertising events, as well as maintaining the Duke CRU website and listservs. The WSN team is our connection to the international ministry associated with Campus Crusade for Christ. The Weekly Meeting team helps plan our large group worship time. If you want to help out with any of these areas, contact the appropriate servant team head. If you aren't quite sure where you would like to serve, contact Cole McLaughlin with any questions or just to talk more about the various servant teams. There are many ways to praise the LORD, and these students do their best to lead in that through music at weekly meetings and during Priority One (P1) prayer meetings. We have people up front playing instruments, people helping set up each week, people running PowerPoint, people running sound, and others as well. There's plenty of opportunities to get involved- contact Josh Cho if you're interested!
