Mission Statement

Duke Inquiries on Gender (D.I.G.) - What is it? D.I.G. is the undergraduate component of the Gender Initiative at Duke, conceived by President Nannerl Keohane to collectively address gender concerns at the University.

During the 2002-2003 academic year, members of the D.I.G. Task Force are assessing the role of gender in the undergraduate Duke Community. More specifically, D.I.G. is collecting information on perceptions of the role gender plays on the academic and social scenes at Duke.

Focus Groups, forums, and this website provide opportunities for students to contribute their perspectives on these issues.
