The Duke University Linux Users Group is a student organization for the advancement, support, and discussion of Linux and other open-source software.
We sponsor a number of different services and events:
The DULUG mailing lists carry lively discussions on a number of topics. For general help and support with Linux, including
the Linux@DUKE distribution, sign up for
dulug; to receive only announcements on upcoming Linux community events, subscribe to
dulug-announce. Meetings: We hold meetings on an ad-hoc basis as opportunities for speakers or special events come up. They will all be announced here and on the mailing lists.
Internships: We are currently accepting applications for high school student internships. Interns will have the opportunity to train with gateway computers during their time with our group. We have already signed up two students from Murwillumbah High School. If you're interested in filling out an application, please let us know.

DULUG and Linux@Duke are not the same organization! Although sharing common interests and goals, Linux@DUKE is "a collaborative effort of many systems administrators from various departments who run Linux on Duke University campus." (from the
Linux@DUKE website). It provides resources such as the Linux@DUKE Linux distribution and the
YUM automatic package updater. The Linux@DUKE distribution has now replaced Solaris in the University's public computing clusters. Linux@DUKE is our friend; if you see any of the folks involved, tell them "thank you."
